Old games. New memories.
Rod showed his son videos of classic arcades online. The cabinets, sounds and games caught his imagination immediately—and prompted a question about the video shops Rod remembered from his own childhood.
Our story
It started with one machine, built for one very special player.
Before there was a workshop, a product range or even a company name, there was a dad, his son and a shared discovery of the games that started it all.

Where it began · 2015
A difficult year sparked an unexpected idea.
When Rod’s son was five, he underwent spinal surgery for scoliosis and spent nine months away from school. During his recovery, Rod looked for ways to keep him entertained and introduced him to the retro arcade games he remembered.
“Where can we go to play those games?”
That simple question set everything in motion.

The first build
From IT desk to workshop.
With a background in IT and a practical streak, Rod decided to build a machine himself. A few weeks in the workshop later, the first cabinet was ready. His son loved it—and it helped make the long recovery feel a little shorter.

Arcade Mania
One machine became many.
Friends and visitors wanted cabinets of their own. With help from his brother and brother-in-law, Rod turned that interest into Arcade Mania: a family venture with its own premises and a growing community of players.

February 2020
The end of one chapter.
After five years, Rod sold Arcade Mania. It looked like the arcade-building story had reached its final screen—but customers kept getting in touch, and the ideas never really stopped.

Continue?
Arcade Geeks was born.
The messages, requests and fresh ideas were impossible to ignore. So Rod put another 10p in the slot, pressed fire to continue and began again—with more experience and a bigger vision.

Today
Still built around the player.
Arcade Geeks now creates bespoke Bartop, Classic, Elite and Wall-Mounted machines. Every cabinet is made to order, but the purpose remains the same: bringing people together around games they love.
